In origine avevamo programmato di partecipare al rally con la nostra Morris Cooper S del 1967 nella gara riservata al Rally Storico ma poi per problemi di ritardo nell'ottenimento dell'HTP (colpa della posta....) abbiamo deciso di dirottare la nostra gara verso la Coppa dei Fiori, gara di regolarità a media imposta, alla guida della fidata Works Spitfire.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Fin qui tutto bene; il problema era che una gara con la media imposta per noi era assolutamente una novità.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;La tappa del venerdì è stata molto tribolata e complicata, alla ricerca dell'affiatamento dell'equipaggio e della padronanza della equazione spazio-tempo fondamentale in questo genere di gara. Solo discreto il risultato finale della tappa con molti errori di valutazione e molta ingenuità nella interpretazione del regolamento. Grazie anche alle dritte dell'equipaggio della Daimler n. 250 che gareggiava immediatamente dietro di noi, la tappa del sabato è stata affrontata con altro piglio e decisione.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;In tutta la tappa, nonostante fosse più lunga e complicata abbiamo confezionato un punteggio di penalità totale di molto inferiore alle penalità registrate nella sola I° speciale del venerdì, realizzando un ottimo recupero.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Una bella esperienza e crediamo che se dovessimo rifare la gara oggi, abbasseremmo di almeno 10 volte il nostro punteggio finale.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Comunque, il nostro sforzo è stato ripagato con il primo posto nella classifica di classe 3 davanti ad una Morris Cooper.......tanto per restare in famiglia.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;I honestly had no idea what to expect in SANREMO RALLY HISTORY. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Originally we planned to attend the rally with our 1967 Morris Cooper S in the race for the Historic Rally, but then due to problems of delay in obtaining HTP (fault of the mail ....) we decided to divert our race to the "Coppa dei Fiori", a regularity race with average speed, driving the trusty Works rally Spitfire. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;So far so good, the problem was that a race with the average speed for us was absolutely new. The stage on Friday was very troubled and complicated, in search of fellowship crew and the master equation of space-time is essential in this kind of race. Only discrete stage with the final result of many errors of evaluation and a lot of ingenuity in the interpretation of the regulation. Thanks also to the crew of the Daimler n° 250 that competed directly behind us, the stage on Saturday was faced with another look and decide. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Across the stage, despite being longer and more complicated we packed a total penalty score much lower than the penalty recorded in the only first P.S. on Friday, making a good recovery. A wonderful experience and we believe that if we had to make the race today, drop by at least 10 times our final score. Principalmente serve al rabbocco rapido dell'olio durante i pit-stop o le assistenze mentre la parte laterale con pipetta ricurva serve a scaricare i vapori dell'olio del motore provenienti dal monoblocco.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;I waited a long time, long time and finally an English friend found a way to complete my work. A perfect combination that makes it even more unique engine of Works Rally Spitfire. What is it? Certamente non quella di vincere e neanche quella di un ottimo piazzamento. Considerando la as&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;soluta "verginità" dell'equipaggio in gare di regolarità e la scarsa dimestichezza con i centesimi di secondo, il target era quello di portare la Works Spitfire al traguardo. E questo è avvenuto, grazie alla efficienza del mezzo e la sua affidabilità pur in presenza di tante insidie. Gomme chiodate e via, su e giù per 11 passi alpini ad altezze fino a oltre 2.500 metri, con strade lastricate di ghiaccio e buio pesto. Quasi 12 ore di guida no-stop con la sola eccezione di un ristoro di circa mezz'ora a metà del percorso. Una esperienza che dire "fantastica" è riduttivo; mentre guidavo nella notte fonda sui tornati del Pordoi o del Gardena con mio figlio a navigare, pensavamo all'epopea dei piloti che negli anni 60' gareggiavano in quelle condizioni ai vari rally di Montecarlo ecc. ecc. Veramente l'essenza della guida come nel nostro caso, con tripmaster elettromeccanico originale anni 60' e cronometro analogico Smiths di origine areonautica, senza cronometri digitali o altre diavolerie, senza riscaldamento, con temperature che fuori erano di -16° e nell'abitacolo di 2-3 ° sopra lo zero.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;La Works Spitfire che tirava come un treno sulle salite ghiacciate fino quasi al limite della 3° marcia e giù in discesa a sfiorare gli 80 km/h con i tornanti che ti venivano incontro minacciosi.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Una esperienza unica. Per quanto riguarda la classifica finale, siamo riusciti nell'intento di mantenere più o meno la medesima numerazione sia in partenza che al traguardo, nel senso del numero di equipaggi che ci hanno preceduto.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Il prossimo anno sicuramente ci applicherremo con metodo per raggiungere altri obbiettivi.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Mission compete. In compagnia di mio figlio Simone in veste di navigatore siamo partiti un pò timorosi per la verità in quanto era la prima esperienza in un rally vero. Dopo la prima speciale ci siamo un pò rilassati e tutto è andato per il meglio. La gara si è disputata in due tappe; 135 km al sabato pomeriggio con 5 speciali di cui una "prova spettacolo " in un enorme piazzale attrezzato e 115 km. la domenica con altre 5 P.S.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;La nostra Spit è andata come un treno; veramente un gran divertimento a guidarla. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Malgrado sia stata strapazzata molto pesantemente, ha retto tutta la gara senza problemi e senza dire una parola. Che motore ragazzi!!!!!!!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;After the holidays you deserve it again the usual life, work, home, work, etc.. etc. ...... and fortunately also .... fun ..... Bellissime le auto presenti&lt;/strong&gt; (vedi foto e sono solo una parte). &lt;strong&gt;Due manches sulla bellissima salita di 5,5 km che si snoda tra tornanti e curvoni da terza piena. Numerosissimo il pubblico che ogni anno si assiepa ai bordi della pista per ammirare le splendide auto e moto d'epoca fino al 1967.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;La Works ha fatto ancora una volta il suo dovere; un gran motore che faceva macinare i km della salita con grande rabbia.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Bellissimo e divertentissimo.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"&gt;Last year I was unable to attend but this year I was there and I must say that it was a beautiful day of passion. The cars present is fantastic (see photos and are only a part). Two runs on the beautiful 5.5 km climb that winds and bends between curves from full third . The public that many every year along the track to admire the beautiful cars and vintage bikes up to 1967. The Works has once again done its duty, a small engine that was grind-kilometer climb with great anger. Purtroppo la GT6R ha avuto un problema durante il trasferimento cittadino e quindo non restava altra scelta. Comunque, è stato un gran divertimento. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Scorazzare per le strade della Bergamo storica in mezzo a tanti bolidi è stato un vero onore.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Bellissima la manifestazione, ottimamente riuscita e di grande spessore.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;La Spitfire ha regalato emozioni a chi guidava e al suo navigatore o a chi semplicemente guardava da bordo della strada; un vero gioiello per prestazioni e emozioni.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;It was not planned to attend the event held in Bergamo il31/05 with the Works Rally Spitfire, but the events led to its decision. Prima uscita con gli ultimi aggiornamenti meccanici. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Sono molto soddisfatto di questo lavoro; la nuova testata LE MANS ha cambiato profondamente l'efficienza di questo motore.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Già con la SAH non era niente male e il motore tirara i 7000 senza problemi e senza buchi.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Adesso pur con una carburazione ancora approssimativa, la LE MANS ha regalato più cattiveria soprattutto dai 4500 agli oltre 7000 giri. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Un gran bell'andare per un piccolo motore monoalbero che ha acquistato anche un rombo più cupo grazie al nuovo impianto di scarico con collettori LE MANS e unico silenziatore posteriore laterale a doppia uscita. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Anche il nuovo cambio (close ratio)senza overdrive è molto preciso e sportivo e permette di sfruttare il motore al meglio. Una goduria!!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Before leaving with the latest  mechanics updates. I am very satisfied with this work, the new LE MANS cylinder head has profoundly changed the efficiency of this engine. L'evento era in concomitanza con la tappa della Porsche Cup e una infinita serie di altre gare di contorno. Da Venerdì a Domenica 3 gare e rispettive qualifiche per il FISC TOUR. Tra i protagonisti, anche John Davis, pilota inglese che da tempo partecipa a queste gare. Reduce da un brutto incidente al Nurburgring un mese fà, fortunatamente incolume, ha purtroppo distrutto la sua Triumph Vitesse Estate. Grazie al suo fido amico e meccanico Jonathan Binnington, ha preso parte alla gara di Monza con la Spitfire "Supersix" dello stesso Jonathan. Al venerdì ha subito un ritiro per la rottura del differenziale, al sabato una bella gara e la domenica un altro ritiro per colpa di uno stupido fusibile della fuel pump. Tutti felici e contenti comunque, una bella esperienza su una pista fantastica. Per l'occasione,ho portato la WRS nel paddock di Monza; la GT6R purtroppo è ancora in fase di assemblaggio.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;P.S. un verio missile la GT6 di John Wolfe.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Italian round of FISC TOUR “Leggendary circuits series” to Monza this week end.
